* Latisha, congratulations on placing second at the Palm Beach Pro! How did you train for this show?

Latisha Wilder: My training was pretty much the same as any other show... lots of cardio, 6 - 8 meals a day, and training with weights 4 days a week.

* How would you define yourself?

Latisha Wilder: Athletic & disciplined.

* What sparked your interest in Figure?

Latisha Wilder: Initially I competed in fitness. I decided to try figure after placing higher in the physique rounds than my routine.

* What do you think are the most important things to consider when becoming interested in being a Figure competitor?

Latisha Wilder: TIME!!!

* What is your current fitness training program?

Latisha Wilder: At this moment... 2 days before the Thanksgiving holiday, I am doing cardio on a daily basis and training in the gym with weights 4 times a week.

* What is your favorite exercise, and why?

Latisha Wilder: This is a hard one... think I'll go with Lunges (smiles). I just know how good they are for shaping below the waist!

* How does competing in the Olympia compare to participating in other Figure competitions?

Latisha Wilder: The Olympia is in a category of it's own because of the history associated with the contest as well as the prestige. It is very much an honor to represent the sport on the Olympia stage.

* In addition to being a gifted athlete, you have an Exercise Physiology degree. How does your academic knowledge relate to your fitness routine?

Latisha Wilder: By fitness routine... you mean my training regimen? If so - I think my knowledge gives me another reason to train. I know that it is good for my body. I also like to use myself as an experiment sometimes (smiles).

* What is the most rewarding aspect of working at the online training company – www.getphatonline.com?

Latisha Wilder: HELPING OTHERS! There is so much bad information out there. The media can be very misleading. I feel good about offering a no non-science product... TRAINING!

* Your muscle building ability during certain amount of time proves you are a time management expert. What advise will you give people about using time more efficiently or successfully?

Latisha Wilder: Plan your day. Include your activities appointments, and your workout time(s). Plan the workout before you get to the gym if you don't have a trainer. And have a plan for your cardio for the day as well. If you schedule it out you will feel accomplished when you can physically "check" off your list.

* What do you like to do away from working out?

Latisha Wilder: Spend time with my husband. Hang out with a girlfriend. Shop. Eat. Sleep. (IN THAT ORDER!).
* What is next for you? Where are you heading now?

Latisha Wilder: What's next for me in 2008? I hope lots of good things! I am applying for the Figure International - this would be my 4th Arnold Classic. I am qualified for the Olympia as well. Not sure where else you will find me on stage. I will be traveling on the weekends, spreading the good cheer of fitness with PHAT CAMP (owned and operated by Jen Hendershott - www.getphatwithjen.com) I have committed to another season of coaching track at a middle school in Ohio. I am sure that I'm leaving things out - but this should be enough to keep me busy! (smiles).
