* Shannon, what was it like growing up in Holland, Pennsylvania?
Shannon James: Holland was a really nice area to grow up in. It is a really populated area that is about 30 minutes outside philadelphia. There is always something to do and somewhere fun to go. * How did you get involved in the entertainment industry? Shannon James: When I was little I was always purused by modeling agencies and started getting into acting when i was about 14. I did a few things but decided to spend more time cheerleading and being a teenager. I was away at school when my best friend Lindsay submitted my pictures into the howard stern show to meet with an executive photographer of playboy. * What does it take to transmit sexual energy in a powerful way like you did in Playboy? Shannon James: I think you have to have a natural confidence about you. You have to feel sexy to seem sexy. * How has Playboy's May issue changed your life? Shannon James: It has made my life a lot more active. I am constantly on the go and still doing school full time. It has led to other modeling opportunites that I am very happy with. Hopefully there will be a lot more to come. |

* What do you like most about your work as a model?
Shannon James: Every experience is something different and interesting. I am always working with fun and beautiful people, so there is never a dull moment. * What motivates you in a job and in your personal life? Shannon James: My family. I grew up watching all of them pursue their personal goals to the fullest. I have always been taught if somethings worth doing than its worth doing it right. * Is it easy to be so beautiful? What is your workout regime and beauty routine these days? Shannon James: I think beauty is not only skin deep. I don't really work out or stick to a certain diet, but I do make sure that I give myself an adequate amount of time to focus on myself. The only way you can look good is to feel good. * How was it like for you at Howard Stern Show? Shannon James: I was so nervous, but it turned out to be a very good experience. Everyone was so nice and a lot of fun. * What it is like to be a blonde? Shannon James: Often people underestimate women because of their hair color. To me, this is just an advantage becuase I always surpass poeples expectations. * Askmen.com survey revealed that almost 80 percent of men would prefer to bring a brunette home to meet mom. Are you surprised? Shannon James: I am a little surprised that such a large majority would prefer brunettes over blondes. I think as long as someone is a good person it shouldn't matter what color hair they have when meeting the family. * What was the oddest situation you have been in, and how did you manage to get out of it? Shannon James: I didn't exactly tell my family about the Howard Stern show. I skipped that little part when I told them I was doing playboy. Evetually they found out. I just kept it short and sweet and said I did it, I used my best judgement, and it all worked out. * I see you like writing poems! Would you mind giving me an excerpt from your poetry? It will be a good way for us to get a feel for it. Spinning Ever feel like your world is spinning And there you are - right in the middle No conception of what is actually going on You try to reach out to grab a hold To touch that bit of reality Twisting and twirling You know you can't stop In fear that you will fall * What does Internet mean to you? Do you spend a lot of time online? Shannon James: The internet means having access to anything you need to know at any time of the day. I am always on the computer and couldn't even function without my blackberry. * What is the cutest thing about you? Shannon James: I am always smiling!!! * If you were an animal / colour / brand (etc) what would you be and why? Shannon James: I would be puppy because people adore them, take care of them, and play with them all the time. I would be the color green because it is easily found in nature. To me nature makes me think of peaceful scenes and serenity. * What are your plans for 2008? Shannon James: For 2008 I will be celebrating my first year of being 21 years old!!! I plan to continue with school and try to further my acting and modeling career.
