AJ AlexanderThe nickname AJ stands for Amanda Jane. This redhead beauty (23) was born in Evansville, Indiana, and her romance with the camera began very early. She relocated to Orange County, California, in order to pursue a career in modeling. As many of today's stars, AJ embarks into acting at the same time. Her career in the entertainment industry is beginning to blossom quickly!Author: Jonathan.L - owner Models Observer November 2007 * AJ, how are you? AJ Alexander: I am doing the best that I can for being in Indiana right now! I am getting pretty anxious to make my permanent move back to California. I am staying as busy as I can focusing on my future. * So, how did you get the nickname "AJ Alexander"? AJ Alexander: My Grandparents gave it to me when I was like 7 since I was so into sports. I was a girly girl tomboy if that makes any sense?! * How is life in the city you grew up in - Evansville? AJ Alexander: Pretty boring now that I have been out of the box, but they say it's a great place to raise kids! * What are your top five "must-see" attractions in Evansville? AJ Alexander: The Casino Aztar, our Annual Fall Festival, Thunder on the Ohio, Riverfest, and Burdette Park. * Tell me a bit about your parents' background. AJ Alexander: My parents were married for 25 years! My mother, where my beauty comes from, is a Nurse. My father, where I get my heart, is self-employed in Real Estate. My family has owned a few Putt-Putt Golf & Games, so that is where I get my golfing skills from. I am very fortunate for having parents that are there for me in every step I take. * Why did you start modeling? AJ Alexander: I simply loved the camera and I always looked up to models such as Nikki Taylor as a child. I started posing in my mirror around the age of 13... LOL. * What are some of the perks of being a model? AJ Alexander: My favorite is learning skincare and make-up techniques from the MUA. Traveling has been a pleasure as I have visited places for the first time because of modeling. And all the friends I meet along the way! * Lately you've completed an exciting project - your new calendar! What is the process of making a calendar consists of? How deeply were you involved in all of the stuff? AJ Alexander: This has been my most exciting self project thus far! It took a total of 3 days and a lot of thought process in finding locations. The hardest part was deciding on which photos to choose since there were so many great shots. I was involved with picking out some locations, wardrobe, and picking my best 13 photos. * In addition to being a model, you are also an actress. Have you taken acting lessons, or maybe you consider your talent natural? AJ Alexander: I recently took a few lessons, but I really didn't learn much. It's hard to find someone with expertise here in Indiana. So it all came down to it coming naturally. Everyone was extremely pleased with my results and I am looking forward to my next acting experience! * How much do you travel on film-related and modeling-related business? Do you see your home in Dana Point very often? AJ Alexander: I travel to California once a month and along the way I have a stop or two in places like Miami or Vegas. I stay at my home in Dana Point during that time which is usually 2 to 4 weeks at a time. Dana Point is a drive to L.A., so I spend much of the time driving back and forth. I don't mind it much at all, I love the freeways! LOL. * What was it like for you to appear in Playboy Special Edition "Hot Housewives"? Do you have thoughts of becoming a Playboy Playmate? AJ Alexander: The Hot Housewives was a very unique shoot with milk. Lemme tell yah, it was freezing cold to pour it on myself! I have always wanted to be a Playmate, it's my key to get out of Indiana! Playboy is so classy as it shows inner and outer beauty. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed to become a future Playmate!!! * What was the best pick up line that you have heard or experienced? And the worst? AJ Alexander: There is no best pick up line. Pick up lines are very lame to me. I like a guy that keeps to himself, yet he is sociable and not cocky! The worst experience I have had was at a bar where a guy grabbed my wrist aggressively and tried to pull me towards him. I automatically was thinking of Black Eyed Peas song, My Humps, and was like "don't pull on my hand boy, you ain't my man" hahahaha!!!! * What do you look for in a guy? AJ Alexander: I look for a pure sweet gentleman that is intelligent. I love a guy that can cook, has a good appetite himself, and is handy dandy around the house. * Does your zodiac sign characteristics fit your personality? How? AJ Alexander: OMG. YES!!! I am 100% a Virgo. I am very down to Earth, a realist, good at whatever I put my mind to, but I have a complicated mind that never rests. Affection and patience comes easily! * How do you enjoy food and keep your abs so flat? What's your secret? AJ Alexander: I LOVE food!!! That is how a guy can win my heart over. My secret: ummm... I may do 50 crunches a day?! Along with good genes and always being athletic has helped. And I guess milk really does do a body good! * What would you do if you had a million dollars? Do you believe you can make so much money, and if so, how fast? AJ Alexander: If I had a million dollars right now, I would buy a house in Laguna Beach and that would take all of my money. I do believe that I can make that much, anything is possible! * In what direction do you see your career evolving towards? AJ Alexander: With my first movie American Summer coming out this Spring, I see a lot more film work ahead. My modeling career is really taking off at the moment, and there is a lot more to come in 2008. I would love to become a Sports Illustrated/Victoria's Secret model and become an idol to young girls whom desire to model. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!!! Centerfolds |
