Dana Hamm interview - part 2

* Let's talk about your great appearance at Jenny Jones show (video on the right). What was it like for you?

Dana Hamm: Oh my gosh!!! Where'd you get that clip? That's so funny! Jenny Jones was such a bizarre experience. I was told they needed a hot, young, up and coming fitness model for the show, so I volunteered. It definitely was NOT a glamorous event! LOL!! They picked me up from the airport then dropped me off at a hotel in downtown Chicago.

The next day they picked me back up for the show at 10am then after everything was over (about 3 hours later) they dropped me back off at the airport where I waited all day for my evening flight. No fancy dinners or time to do anything fun. During the recording of the show, they tried to force me into saying certain things - ridiculous things. They wanted me to come out in a tiny pink thong (for ratings), so I just smiled and nodded, then did my own thing. LOL!! All in all I have to chalk it up as a good experience, but only because it led to other opportunities right away.

* How do other people react to your fabulous fit body when they meet you after long time? Do they beg for the recipe of perfectly sculpted body?

Dana Hamm: Sometimes they ask, but obviously I don't go around wearing a bikini or lingerie like I'm shown in photographs. When most people meet me I'm either wearing a dress or jeans, so I'm not showing a crazy amount of flesh. Plus, I don't get much time to get on that personal level with strangers where they have time to ask me in-depth questions. Usually they just stare or whisper to their friends.

* Do you believe beauty brings happiness?

Dana Hamm: That's a very good question. Unfortunately, outer beauty fades, so it definitely doesn't bring long-term happiness. However, when we look good, we typically feel good and visa versa, so I suppose you can say that some level of happiness is achieved. Again, I think almost everything depends on who you're asking. For some people beauty has been a curse, and therefore very little happiness has resulted.

I have to be honest, I enjoy my good looks. I see beauty as a blessing…a gift. It gives you so much power, especially if it's paired-up with intelligence and confidence. And then there is the added benefit of making money on your beauty, which is an amazing concept in itself.

Then again physical "beauty" is not forever. So, with that being said I think we have to find other things that make us happy and fulfilled.

* How can a guy catch your eye?

Dana Hamm: I don't know…different things. I really like a guy who is confident and comfortable with himself. He doesn't have to be rich, but he has to be ambitious and hard working.

He doesn't have to be a hunk, but he has to take care of himself and dress well.

I do prefer intelligence over coolness. I get bored easily, so it's important to me that a guy can keep me stimulated and on my toes. I also like spontaneity - I don't believe that everything has to be planned.

Lastly, it really catches my eye when I know a guy is crazy for me. Like when I can see it in his eyes! He just can't hide it and he is always staring my way. I have to admit…I love that!

* You're one of the most sexual women in the world. What's your favorite part of your body? Why? And what's the sexiest outfit you own?

Dana Hamm: Awww, thank you... I guess! LOL! I don't really have a favorite part of my own body. I'm a total package type of person. I don't think one body part can look amazingly good on its own without another part to compliment it. It's really kind of spellbinding if you think about it. A small waistline compliments both your ass and breasts. I go through stages where I like different things about myself. Sometimes, it's my ass, then it's my boobs, then it's my biceps, then it's my face or hair, etc… And then other times it's nothing! LOL!! Hey, what can I say; I'm a woman, and that gives me a license to change my mind.

* Who has more craving for sex, men, women or both the same? And, who do you think enjoys sex more men or women?

Dana Hamm: Well, I can only speak for myself and tell you the statistics I've read. Biologically speaking, Testosterone drives men to crave sex all the time. They are instinctually driven to spread their seed to as many willing women as they encounter. Of course, I believe most sincere men try to practice some self-control in that area.

Women are different, but in a very good way. We're picky about who we sleep with. We certainly craze sex too, but on a different level. And I think women can be just as sexually fierce as men if not more so. We're sly about it. We don't have HORNY written on our foreheads for the world to see. LOL!! But when we want it, we definitely know how to get as much as we want!

I think both men and women enjoy sex equally…as I said before I can only speak for myself.

* You're a marketing professional and a smart businesswoman. Your posters and calendars have been sold in over 3,000 retail stores nationwide: Spencer Gifts, BMG Sony, Calendar Club, Sam Goody, Tower Records, and more. What are the principles of marketing and branding success?

Dana Hamm: The basic principle is hard work and not being afraid of taking risks. I also think you have to study the market and truly know your line of work inside and out. Modeling is so much more than good looks. To really stay in the game, it also takes brains, a tough skin, and a good personality. Models that spend their free time partying usually have very short careers. You've always got to be thinking about your next step, and how to do it on your own terms.

* How do you feel when you're compared to Angelina Jolie?

Dana Hamm: Well, it's a huge compliment, of course. She is incredibly striking and one of a kind! People started telling me that I looked like Angelina when she was starring in the Tomb Raider movies. At that time I didn't know much about her, so I started following her films and discovered what an amazing actress she was. My two favorite films of Angelina's are "Gia" and "Girl Interrupted". I think we resemble most in "GIA", because she was curvier and her face wasn't so thin.

* Many celebrities and top models insure their goods. What do you think about body part insurance?

Dana Hamm: None. From what I can see I think that's a bunch of silly hype. It's just a way to get media attention. Who knows…I just you can never say never.

* What are you most afraid of or worried about? What is making you anxious?

Dana Hamm: I worry about my family, my friends, the state of the world and our country, and myself. There are a lot of environmental issues that really bother me. I think a lot about the endangered animals that are going extinct.

I'm not a worry wart, but I think it's pretty normal to worry about things, because there are no guarantees in life. And there is no such thing as being fully secure. Life has its ups and downs…its surprises. However, I try to focus on the things that I can change.

* How is your acting career coming along?

Dana Hamm: I don't live in LA, so it's not going nearly as well as my modeling career. I do have a few great film opportunities in 2008, so we'll see what happens. I have a feeling it's going to be a lot of fun!

* Where will we meet you in five years?

Dana Hamm: I can't say. I'm sure it will be under different circumstances and I hope and pray I'll be having the time of my life.
