She hypnotizes the audience with her upbeat and fun music, she has already conquered Europe and divulges her next destination: the United States.

Author: Jonathan.L - owner Models Observer
August 2008

* Niki, how are you? Where are at the moment?

Niki Belucci: Thanks for your question, I'm fine and now I'm here at home in Budapest.

* What was it like growing up in Hungary?

Niki Belucci: I like Hungary the most. I had a very nice childhood, only I was living in the gym for 10 years. Throught my sport career.

* Tell me about how you began DJing.

Niki Belucci: I had a boyfriend that worked as a DJ. I used to go with him to his DJ gigs, I absolutely loved standing in the DJ booth watching him in control of the party and making everybody dance. I really wanted to replicate this feeling for myself. My first big DJ break was in Budapest called E-Club, they gave me a chance to play there in 2003, which led me onto getting gigs in more and more clubs around the world.

* What makes your style of DJing unique?

Niki Belucci: I think everyone make their own style, their own aura.

* How would you describe your personality and character traits?

Niki Belucci: I'm happy, smiling, temperamental girl. I love the humor, and the good fellowship. I like to be in the center, I like being cared for. Sometimes, I'm struggling and light-minded. I like to help other people, and mainly sick and stray animals.

* Tell me about a really memorable gig that you ve played. What made it great?

Niki Belucci: When I've played at first in Cannes in Le Palais, that was really memorable. This is a beautiful big club and the crowd chorused my name. This was very nice to my heart, but French people haven't knew me more. After my party I was given big claps, I have never forgotten this party.

* What's the biggest crowd you've ever DJed to?

Niki Belucci: In Columbia, 4000-5000 people, that was fantastic.

* How do you use the DJ equipment to maximize the smooth transition between tracks?

Niki Belucci: This is not hang on the DJ equipment. Only need to play that kind of music time after time, find the style and the beat also.

* How much practice it takes to achieve the professional status that you've hit?

Niki Belucci: I'm not professional yet, but Thank you. I was practicing very very much, I have 5 gigs per week for 5 years, and you can learn the most when you play to crowd. The main point is the audience s reaction, needs to take care them and find their s feeling.

* Your music fascinate audiences all around the world. Can you give me your sense of the differences between audiences in different countries around the world?

Niki Belucci: The different is the habit. For example I had a party in Indonesia when the people were only sitting and couldn't dance. In Italy, sometimes people used to dance on the counter also. Turkey are loose also. French use to sing while I'm playing. Every country is deifferent.

* How much of your success do you attribute to DJing topless and showing off your perfect torso, which can detract attention from your music?

Niki Belucci: OOOh, perfect torso, Thanks!
I think, the look is very important in this business: I work very much for this in the gym. But not enough to move and make the crowd dance on the dancefloor for 2 hours. When I get off my t-shirt, this is important only for 10 minutes. Anyone can see topless girls at the beach, so I don't think my torso is enough for a good party. The point is the good music. There are many countries where I play in t-shirt, because of the religion, I don't always play in topless.

* Please share your thoughts and wishes on your new cooperative enterprise with Kingdom Kome Cuts.

Niki Belucci: A few month ago, I had signed worldwide to one of the most upcoming house and electro labels Kingdom Kome Cuts (label of the month October 2008, on www.djtunes.com) they just presents my brand new single being produced by no others than D.O.N.S. & DBN, Mister Jerry Ropero and myself. Vocals by Charles Salter (the voice of Axwell) and the first mix by D.O.N.S. & DBN will ignite another level of warp speed for me. Remixes by Dani Karanyi and Antonyo from Hungary and Burnett & Cooper from Germany are the next mixes being ready to rock the dancefloors worldwide.

* So what's the hardest part of traveling so much?

Niki Belucci: The hardest part is waiting at the airport. To carry my suitcases, and that I sleep only 3-4 hours per day. Sometimes I'm total run down.

* What do you do when you're not making music?

Niki Belucci: Lately I started a building operations with my husband. I like to shop, do sports, walk with my dog, visit to my parents, cooking and cleaning.

* What's your view on love? Is there such thing as 'pure love'?

Niki Belucci: Well, you find it less and less. But I know some married couples who live in happiness. But the fact is that the world changes. Our grandparents live in other feeling. In Hungary, from every 10 marriage, 8 ends with breakup. People decides hastily and takes child without responsibility. Everybody wants the other husband, boyfriend, wife and doesn't honor their own ones. Unfortunately, we live in this world.

* What is your top tip for aspiring DJs?

Niki Belucci: Practicing, learning, lowly, self-critic!

* Any more upcoming projects you'd like to talk about?

Niki Belucci: Soon my new video Get Up will be ready, and my new mix album also. In autumn I will fly to my first tour in USA.

 Centerfolds
