* Julie, how are you?

Julie Henderson: Hi there. I'm so sorry for have taken so long to write back to you. I have just been extremely busy.

* When you started modeling, did you ever believe you would be such a great success story? Were you surprised by your success?

Julie Henderson: I'm still very suprised by all my success. I have to pinch myself everyday. I still cant believe everything that i have achieved.

* How was your move from anonymity to international stardom?

Julie Henderson: I'm very modest, I don't see myself as a international superstar. Everything happens so fast the minute sports illustrated comes out and there is no way to prepare yourself for what's next.

* What would you say are your best physical and emotional attributes?

Julie Henderson: I think my best physical and emotional attributes would be my optimistic point of view and looking at life in a healthy way physically and mentally.

* What inspires you? Do you have a role model?

Julie Henderson: Good attitude and good spirt inspire me and my role model is my father. Hes my best friend and from everything he has been though it's amazing how optimistic he still is everyday.

* Some of your amazing SI photos were taken in Caesarea, Israel. What was it like to model at the ruins of Caesarea?

Julie Henderson: To model on the ruins of Ceasarea was one of the most memorable experience. In America we dont have history like that. You learn about it all in school but never think your going to be climbing and laying on top of it for a photo.

* Other great photos were taken in Orlando, Florida. What can you tell me about creating this photo of you? How many times have the dolphins jumped before the photo was ready?

Julie Henderson: Well I couldn't really see what was going on behind me and everyone in front of me kept going "oooh ahhh wow!" and I was like I wanna see haha.

* What is the secret of a successful photo shoot? Do you distinguish between different talents and skills of photographers?

Julie Henderson: After many years of modeling you begin to tell the difference between photographers that have been doing it for a while and know what they are doing rather than ones that have just started out. I think the key behind a successful photo shoot is communication. I think it helps when the client and photographer tell you exactly what kind of image they are trying to achieve. It's all about teamwork.

* How tough is it to get into Sports Illustrated magazine?

Julie Henderson: It's very difficult to land Sports Illustrated. It's such an elite magazine that every girl wants but only about 20 of them get. It's a magazine that puts you on the map. People start to put a name to your face. To me when I was young I thought it was the magazine that made you a supermodel.

* Are you strict about what you eat? Do you think about everything you eat before you put it in your mouth?

Julie Henderson: Of course I think about what I eat but I dont obsess over it, thats the difference. I like to life a healthy life, putting healthy things in my body and always being active. It's all about the balance.

* What is the best beauty product ever invented and why?

Julie Henderson: That's a tough question but I think I would have to say moisturizer. It helps moisturize your skin and helps reduce the number of wrinkles.

* At what point in history did youth and beauty become more important than age and wisdom?

Julie Henderson: I don't know if it ever changed from one to the other. I believe that people were always concerned about youth and beauty. It's all about the person of what and how they want to be perceived.

* What is your favorite memory from school?

Julie Henderson: My favorite school memory would be when I was about 9 and it would be valentines day so we got to make little mailboxes for all of our valentine cards we would receive from friends.

* How has your parents' divorce impacted your life and affected your decision to pursue or not pursue romantic relationships? Did it leave you with emotional wounds?

Julie Henderson: I am very fortunate with the way I turned out from my parents divorce. They were very open with me about everything that was going on and made sure that i knew it had nothing to do with me. It didnt make me give up on marriage, it just made me realize that marriage isnt for everyone and that you have to really want it and work really hard for it. People dont take it as serious as it should be and rely on divorce too much.

* What irritates you about other people, and how do you deal with it?

Julie Henderson: Negativity irritates me the most about people and the way I deal with it is that I don't surround myself with those kind of people.

* If you could invite three living persons to dinner on successive weeks, whom would you choose?

Julie Henderson: I would love just have dinner with three of my best girlfriends, Brooklyn, Katie, and Kate.

* If you had one day to do anything, what would you do?

Julie Henderson: I would be with all of my friends and family having a nice bar-b-que at home in Texas, enjoying each others company.

* Do you like being alone? When you are alone, what do you think about?

Julie Henderson: I enjoy my alone time but I'm alone a lot of the time on the road so when I have a choice I try to catch up with friends and family.

* If you could choose one superhero power, what would it be and why?

Julie Henderson: That's a great question I'm caught between having the power to fly or be invisible. But I think I'm going to choose the ability to fly. I would love to be like a bird and fly between buildings and above all the trees.

* What do you dream at night?

Julie Henderson: Funny you should ask that I had a dream last night that my ex-boyfriend gained a lot of weight and was trying to tell me that I owed him money. haha it was totally random.

* How often do you go back to Texas?

Julie Henderson: I try to go back as much as I can. I would say on average about every 2 months or so.

Julie Henderson: I love the movie La Vie En Rose. It's a french film but so amazing.

* What do you like to do for fun?

Julie Henderson: I like to go to the movies, go to the park, go dancing, or just catching up with friends.
