* Monica, how are you?

Monica Hansen: I am doing well. - Thank you!

* Half Brazilian and half Norwegian! The tropical sexuality combined perfectly with the Nordic height. Please tell me about growing up in Norway...

Monica Hansen: I was born in a very small city called "Tonsberg", two hrs Southwest from the Capital Oslo. I grew up on an Island called "Tjome", with three siblings, horses and lots of animals. I grew up riding horses, dancing, painting, snow-boarding and taking care of my younger siblings and our many animals. Although I grew up on a very small and conservative place, I was known as the "wild child". I was always willing to explore and never afraid to experiment new horizons. I moved out already from my parents house at 16 to live by myself. I moved from Norway to US at 17.

* When and how did you start modeling? When you first did your first topless shoot, where you embarrassed?

Monica Hansen: I started modeling at 14 , doing small local fashion shows and walking the catwalks for fashion week Oslo. I later same year signed a model-contract with Elite, Michelle Pommier, Wilhelmina and Ford. I did a shoot for a topless Magazine called "Perfect 10" , when I was 18. I was for sure not shy or embarrassed about it. It was really no big deal to me, and sort of Natural for me, coming from a country where everyone goes topless on the beach.

Top model Monica Hansen.
* What was it like to win Miss Norway?

Monica Hansen: It was an amazing feeling. One that no words can describe. It was greatest honors to me.

* Was it easy to leave the fjords of Norway and come to California? I would love to hear your adaptation experiences!

Monica Hansen: It was a big step moving from Norway to California. It was a lot to adjust to at first, but I adopted very quickly to the lifestyle. The biggest and hardest adjustment was to speak English 24/7.

* Which of your traits do you think enabled you the most to become so successful?

Monica Hansen: I am sort of dare devil and I set no limit for myself on what I can achieve. I am risk taker and once I set a goal I go for it all the way. I believe that for sure have helped me to reach where I am at now. I believe you will only get ahead if you dare to risk, and only gain big if you gamble a lot.

* What is your opinion of the quality of Swimsuit&Lingerie photography that is being produced in the US? And outside it?

Monica Hansen: I think swimsuit/Lingerie photography in the US is very commercial vs. outside where it is more artistic. They are also more conservative in the US, where they show much less skin then in other parts of the world.

* You've worked with all of the top magazines. Which project have you enjoyed working on the most in the history of your career thus far, a project that gave you the most personal artistic pleasure in your work and gave you freedom to portray your creativity to its full?

Monica Hansen: I always enjoyed working on projects that involves a benefit for a good cause. A few yrs ago I did a calendar called "Sun angels" for the benefit of Melonma cancer, I later became a spokes-model for them. I got to work with a lot of people that really touched my heart. On the creative side, I have produced a few shoots for syndications where I gotten to be involved in the production side. I get to choose Location, styling, photographer, hair and makeup, and art direction on the photo story or layout we are gonna do.

* How does having a body which worth so much money effect your physical activity? Does it make you more careful when it comes to sports such as ski or even during workout in the gym? Do you insure your body or parts of it?

Monica Hansen: I do work out and care about what I eat, but beside that I don`t really pay too much attention to it. I love sports and I am not really careful about it, I guess not insurance here.

* What do you think about this sex survey? Do the survey results - women are becoming more promiscuous, with more sexual partners than men - fit with your expectations?

Monica Hansen: I thought it was interesting, but not surprised.

* You're the ultimate seducer, you know your powers and your influence on men. How does the supermodel status affect your relationships with men?

Monica Hansen: I am not sure if I can call myself a seducer, But if I like a person make sure I let them know I am interested. I don`t think my status has any affect to my relationships with men.

* Which of your traits do you hate the most? Why?

Monica Hansen: My ears, because they are so big.

* How does your day go?

Monica Hansen: I don't really have a day routine , since I travel and I am always involved in different projects all the time and my days varies from next to an other. Its hard to keep any schedule.

* If you were working in a circus, what would you like to be?

Monica Hansen: I would be working as the horse trainer for sure. I love horses.

* What would you like to find out more about?

Monica Hansen: I would love to find out more about the world and its beauty that it has to offer.

* What's next on your plate? Any other immediate projects coming soon that you're at liberty to mention?
