* Bar, how did you get into modeling?

Bar Refaeli: I started in Israel when I was 8 months old- doing commercials and small things and enjoyed it very much! When I was 12 I had braces on my teeth for three years and couldn't work. As soon as I got them off I went to a modeling agency in Israel and in one week started working.

* What has been your greatest achievement, and how much of a push did it give you in your modeling career?

Bar Refaeli: I had 4 covers in the French ELLE in two months - one of them had an article about me. That helped very much - people started to know my name. Italian GQ - also cover. In general, editorials are very helpful in this business, especially if you get on the cover.
Ralph Lauren - I was shooting with one of the best photographers, doing one of the best brands. SA Sports Illustrated - a very famouse magazine, done by very good models. I did that twice.

* How do you deal with pressure/stress in modeling?

Bar Refaeli: The stress has to do mainly with traveling so much.. all the time! I deal with that by taking someone with me - friends or family.

* Which main differences do you find between your work as a beginner model and your work now as a supermodel?

Bar Refaeli: First of all, I feel like I'm doing better - I know how to work in front of camera better than before. Second of all, the jobs - now I am choosing my jobs more carefully, I get offers to work for major brands and with very good photographers.

* Please describe a day in the life of a supermodel.

Bar Refaeli: When I work - wake up very early, go to location, have breakfast, start make up and hair, start shooting. A break for lunch - continue with work. And when I'm done, I just like to go back to the hotel, take a nice shower and go to bed!!!
When I'm not working - wake up, have breakfast, I go to gym and usually spend the day with my friends or family - mostly on the beach or at home.

* How would you describe the work relationships between you and fashion photographers? For example, are you dominant in the photo creation process and telling them what do you think about their work?

Bar Refaeli: Usually no. I like to work with different photographers - each one has different ideas and way of working and I enjoy seeing that. They are artists and I trust them. But I think it's a cooperation between the model and the photographers - the photographer can tell me his vision for the shot but it's me in front of the camera that brings "it" out...

* Any embarrassing experiences during a photo shoot?

Bar Refaeli: Not that I remember.

* What have you learned from your work experience so far?

Bar Refaeli: That I am lucky. That I am able to travel and seeing so much of the world. Meeting a variaty of different creative people.

* If you weren't a model, what would you be doing, and why?

Bar Refaeli: A singer - I love to sing, one of my dreams is to perform in front of an audience and sing. But that will stay a dream - since I'm a very bad singer!

* How would you define femininity?

Bar Refaeli: Confidence.

* What are your hobbies?

Bar Refaeli: I just started surfing, I ride horses and I love to read and watch movies.

* Are you working on any upcoming projects?

Bar Refaeli: Yes, I'm going to be in the next issue of Sports Illustrated US and I am going to shoot for Chanel make up.
