* Sara, What is going on in your life?
Sara Gilmour: At the moment I'm dividing my time between modelling and writing lyrics & music, guitar lessons & singing which is my main passion. i have lots of exciting ideas for the future that I'm having fun exploring.
* When and how did you start modeling? Did you consider a modeling career, or maybe it all started coincidentally?
Sara Gilmour: When I was 16 I was scouted by models one whilst walking down the kings road but I couldn't really do much as I was at school. I didn't think much of it until Union scouted me a couple of years ago and now I have a balance between modelling and my personal life.

* Why do you think so many girls and women want to be models?
Sara Gilmour: I suppose models can have an air of excitement and glamour about
them, it can be a bit of a confidence boost. It is however a lot of
hard work and its not as glamorous as it looks all of the time.
* What branch of modeling most interests you? Why?
Sara Gilmour: I would have to say the edgier high fashion stuff, but I'm not
sure thats where my market lies!! haha.
* Tell me about a big challenge or difficulty you've faced. How did
you deal with it?
Sara Gilmour: When I was just starting out I was still quite young and suddenly I
had to do everything for myself; pay rent, find a job, make friends
in a big city etc. I found it a little overwhelming at first but i stuck at it, i asked
advice from the people I trust and eventually it all worked out.
Things don't always work out immediately. You have to work at it.
I think a lot of people would have the same answer to this question though
* So, what was it like to grow up as the daughter of a cultural icon
like David Gilmour?
Sara Gilmour: How do you condense a lifetime into one sentence...?
* What are the advantages, and what are the disadvantages (if
there are), of being beautiful?
Sara Gilmour: Well all I know is that I have met some very "beautiful" women and
they haven't been very nice people and now when I look at them I
truly don't see any beauty in their physicality, and the same is
true the other way round; people can appear to be more beautiful because of
their mind and personality.
There are always advantages and disadvantages to everything but there is no
set rule in this case, some beautiful women have had a hard life from the start and
some have had it easy. This is the same for every type of person though,
people get ahead in life for many different reasons.
* What do you hope to gain during your modeling career?
Sara Gilmour: As with all things I do I hope to gain adventure, travel, new experiences
and friends and hopefully a little bit of cash to help me on my way!
* How would you describe your style?
Sara Gilmour: My sister came up with a new term to describe the way i dress, which is
essentially messy dress!!! "Boho inheritance". Nearly all my clothes were
my mothers from the 60's and 70's, mixed in with a lot of vintage store
items and high street classics (which usually look like they're from the
eighties). I like to mix my decades!
* Ayn Rand, a Russian born American writer, said once: "Money is
only a tool. It will take you wherever you wish, but it will not
replace you as the driver." What do you think?
Sara Gilmour: I agree.
* If you could meet any character in history, who would it be, and
why?
Sara Gilmour: They are mostly musicians, past and present: Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan,
Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Cohen etc. They inspire me because they are
intelligent creative people who have an air of mystery and remain
themselves no matter what people think of them.
* What do you like to do in your free time?
Sara Gilmour: Travel, adventure, friends, just with some partying thrown in!
