1. Nikki, how are you?
Nikki Benz: I'm good, thank you! Been really busy. I got to ring in 2010 in Vancouver, Canada by hosting a party there. Now I’m back in L.A. getting ready for the AEE convention and the AVN awards. I’ll be signing at the Jules Jordan Video/Brazzers booth and I'm also nominated for and AVN award. I also have a few important shoots coming up right before I leave for Vegas. 2. Describe your childhood. Were you promiscuous? Nikki Benz: I was a normal child, perhaps a bit of a trouble maker. However, as a teenager I was very much promiscuous. I recall always being interested in sex and learning about it by looking through my parents dirty magazines. LOL I lost my virginity at 15 and loved sex ever since! 3. How did you know that the porn industry was for you? Nikki Benz: I didn’t always know that the porn industry was for me. In fact I didn’t know much about the porn industry at first. My boyfriend at the time was really into Jenna Jameson, I didn’t even know who she was. After doing some research about Jenna Jameson I decided to take that leap and jump into the adult business with both feet. I've never looked back since. 7 years later and I’m only getting better at what I do and becoming more successful and famous. |

4. What is your philosophy when it comes to your work?
Nikki Benz: I treat my work as business. I do have sex for work, and it may seem as all fun and games, however it’s my career therefore I’m always professional. I love what I do, I have fun doing it and at the end of the day in order to be successful I treat it like any other business. All of the different aspects of my career, whether it’s feature dancing, hosting parties, filming movies, shooting layouts for magazines, doing radio interviews or attending conventions, I treat it as a business and I’m always on top of my game. I work hard, and I play hard. 5. What is your proudest moment so far in your career? Nikki Benz: My proudest moment so far is simply where I am right now in my career. I’ve been a contract girl with three different production companies, after my last contract I decided to go free lance and join L.A. Direct Models, and after three years with them I am now completely independent when it comes to booking films. Producers call me and book me. That’s where I am right now. It feels great to be your own boss. I run my own website where I hire talent to shoot for me, in other words I am the producer of www.nikkibenz.com I land more and more mainstream projects, including non-adult photo shoots, and even being on FoxSports.com I am also one of the top feature acts in the country, and in 2009 I was the first American porn star to tour Europe, including Italy and break in those unknown grounds. I’ve open up doors for others to go to Italy and feature dance there with The Lee Network. My proudest moment is my current status in the industry and it’s only going to get bigger and better! 6. Each one of your movies is a best seller, wholly unique, filled with hot scenes and creating an oeuvre that is truly greater than the sum of its parts. How is quality assurance integrated in the management of your successful site, www.nikkibenz.com? In other words, how and when do you know whether the film is ready for release and is in line with customers' needs and expectations? Nikki Benz: In terms of movies being released from other production companies, I have nothing to do with their decision on the release dates. As far as www.nikkibenz.com goes, I definitely make all the decisions on when I want to put up content on there that I produce exclusively just for my members. For example, when I went brunette for 5 months, I knew I had to shoot a scene for www.nikkibenz.com with my new hair do as soon as possible so my website members could see it first, before any other company could shoot me and released the scenes. My brunette hair was a hit with my website members and with other DVD companies and other internet based websites. I listen to my fans and try to create the type of photo shoot or scene that they want, whether it’s an anal masturbation video or me dressed up in a checkered bikini in front of a race car, I provide the type of content that you can’t find anywhere else. It’s completely produced by me, it’s designed to target my members and fans of my website and I use the best photographers and videographers in the industry. At the end of the day my fans want me to create a high end product, get to know the real me better and feel like they are connected with me, and I deliver just that. 7. How do you get ready to fuck on camera? Do you have a special ritual? Nikki Benz: I don’t have a ritual. I get really excited before my scenes because I know that I’m about to get fucked. I love doing scenes, I love everything that goes along with it. The set up, the dialogue, the taking of the still pictures. It turns me on knowing that what I’m about to do that day, millions of fans are going to get to see it. 8. What do you think about the efforts to force condoms on porn stars? Link: http://blogs.laweekly.com/ladaily/city-news/group-tries-to-force-condoms-o/ Nikki Benz: I don’t like the word forced as it is, and therefore I don’t like their efforts to force condoms on porn stars. We’re all adults, it should be our decision whether or not we choose to use condoms on set. I’ve worked for Wicked pictures and they are a condom only company, they put out great product and I enjoy doing scenes for them just as much as I enjoy doing scenes for non-condom companies such as Brazzers. As a viewer, I’d prefer to watch scenes that are non-condom. As a performer, I get tested every single month, as do other performers. I’d hate the idea of someone forcing me to use a condom in every single scene. It should be my decision 100% of the time. 9. In just a few years and with great competence, you became a wealthy woman. What's your view on poverty in the world? Do you believe poor people are in the situation they are in because they are lazy? Nikki Benz: First of all, I don’t consider myself wealthy. I know wealthy people and they are worth millions of dollars, I am not. On the other hand, I’ve done pretty well for myself and I have a long way to go before I become “wealthy”. Let’s just say I’m comfortable. Second, my view on poverty is that it’s unfortunate that there is such thing as poverty in this world. I definitely don’t believe that poor people are in the situation they are in because they are lazy. You can’t help it where you were born, or in which circumstances you were born in. However, I do believe that if you work hard, keep a positive outlook and visualize your end goal, even if you come from the ghetto, ex. Jay-Z, Oprah or if you’re a college drop out ex. Bill Gates, you can make your dreams come true. Or at least you’ll be able to put yourself in a better situation where you can lead a better life. 10. How has working in the porn industry affected your relationships in the real world? Nikki Benz: I only date civilians, meaning non-porn performers or those who are in the industry but remain behind the scenes. I’ve always dated guys that are open minded therefore I was and am able to do what I do best, being a porn star. At the same time I have to be open minded with them, so my relationships have been pretty good, not perfect but good. 11.If porn teaches people how to fuck well and has great educational value, why is it so threatening? Nikki Benz: I don’t agree with this statement 100%. Porn doesn’t necessarily teaches “how to fuck well”. Just because you watch a porn performer slapping his dick on a girl’s tongue or fucking the living crap out of her in an adult film or just because you see a girl doing a double penetration scene doesn’t mean you should try it at home. A lot of porn is a performance, and guys in “the real world” need to realize that. A lot of civilian guys learn bad habits from porn. I can say that because I only date civilians. On the other hand, porn can definitely be helpful for someone’s sex drive. For example, if a couple wants to get in the mood and see what kinky stuff they can do, they can watch a porn and learn how and what to do. What I’m saying is that you have to be selective on what you want to learn from porn. I wouldn’t advice learning demeaning acts from porn movies such as slapping the girl around nor do I do such films myself, however there is a lot of good you can learn. For example, how to give your man an amazing, sloppy blowjob, how to eat pussy, what type of dildo to use on your girlfriend, or perhaps how to role play in the bedroom. The reason porn is viewed as being so threatening by some people is because they are not completely open or comfortable with their sexuality. Porn is becoming more and more mainstream and I hope that the good porn movies out there can teach civilians some good sex tips. 12.Has there ever been a turning point in your career that could have taken you in a different direction? Nikki Benz: Absolutely. If I started out in gonzo as soon as I got into the adult industry and would have done everything in porn there is possibly to do I would have been shot out by now and probably out of the business. Instead I took it slowly. I knew I wanted to build a career out of being in adult films and not a year of fast money and then boom, you’re out. At the beginning I did girl/girl scenes, then boy/girl, and only as I’m approaching being in adult movies for 7 years I’ve done very few anal scenes. I started out as a contract girl, then moved on to doing gonzo and being independent. This way I am more in demand, I am well known and I am able to have a higher rate than other performers. I was able to built up my name and pursue other aspects of the adult business, such as feature dancing, creating my own website, traveling around the world and making celebrity appearances, etc. I’ve created the Nikki Benz brand, I've built up an amazing fan base and I am venturing out into new projects for 2010. I still have so much more to do in this industry and that’s a good feeling to have. It feels good to be your own boss. 13. You are in excellent physical shape... How do you work out and get your incredible body? What do you usually eat? Nikki Benz: I hate working out. I’ve tried that route last year, joined a gym for three months and absolutely hated it. I think I’m lucky. I got good genes, everyone in my family is in great physical shape. Plus, feature dancing definitely helps me keep in shape. Having sex burns a lot of calories as well. ;) I try to eat healthy, but when you’re on the road as much as I am, it’s hard to do so all the time. I eat pretty much what ever I want, but I keep it in small portions. 14. What is your favorite thing to do outside of performing? I don't have a lot of free time, nor do I spend a lot of time at home, so when I do get to be in town and have some time to spend at home, I like to stay in, order a movie and enjoy my self. Going out to a fine dining place with my friends is also great. We eat great food, order a nice bottle of wine and catch up on life. We tend to take a million pictures as well, and then post them all over the social networks LOL 15. Tell me something about you that is out of the ordinary and that has escaped the average porn fan. Nikki Benz: Hmmmmmm.....thinking. I’m into fast cars and I’m a bit of a car fanatic. I love listening to music and if you were to go through my iPod you’d find that 90% of my tunes are Hip Hop, the rest are Metal, Rock, Pop, R&B and some Techno. 16. What are your plans for the upcoming year? What goals do you have for your career? Nikki Benz: For 2010 I am working on a lot of great projects, including a T-Shirt line and a merchandising deal.
