* Stormy, how are you?
Stormy Daniels: I am doing very well, thank you! * What was your childhood like in Louisiana? Stormy Daniels: I guess it was pretty typical for a lower class kid in Baton Rouge. I didn't have dvds and video games so I played outside and liked to get dirty...guess some things never change. It made me be active and develop my imagination. * What did you discover about yourself through working as a stripper in your early career? How good are you in pole dancing? Stormy Daniels: I learned to be a great actress...and do anything in high heels! Strangely enough, I cannot do one pole trick! Pole tricks are overrated, anyway. You will get much further by just rolling around and touching yourself. * What prompted you to become an adult movie performer and what was the move from stripping to porn like? |

Stormy Daniels: I was always a porn fan so when a friend offered me a chance to travel to LA and do a scene with her, I jumped at the opportunity. I was so used to be naked in front of people because of my years of stripping that I think it made it easier for me.
* Are you surprised by your huge success or is it all part of a master plan? Stormy Daniels: I always have a master plan...I was just surprised this one actually worked! * What movies have you enjoyed making so far as a performer? Stormy Daniels: I really enjoy comedy and horror. I can be silly or scary, but I have a difficult time just playing a straight character. * When you're working in front of the camera, how often are you aware of the camera's presence? Do you think about it during your amazing scenes? Stormy Daniels: I am always aware of where camera is and I am always taking the angle into consideration when performing. I guess it is the director in me. * You are one of the most talented and creative directors in the adult business today. Do you think creativity is innate or learned? Why? Stormy Daniels: Creativity cannot be taught, but it does have to be nurtured. Either you have it or you don't, but you have to learn how to capture it on film. Even as a child, my thoughts played like a movie. I had to learn about lighting and camera equipment, though. * When do you feel most energized? Stormy Daniels: When I have a great idea for a movie...and the budget gets approved. * How do you know when a movie is finished and needs no additional work? Stormy Daniels: I make my friends watch the screener and I watch them. * How do you maintain the synergy between your business strategies and ever changing web-technologies and customers' taste? Stormy Daniels: It is difficult because I am not particularly web savvy...nor does it really interest me. It is a necessary evil, however, so I am trying to learn more. I try to make the things that I want to see and inspire me and hopefully some customers will feel the same. If you always ask yourself "what does _____ want me to create?", it will seem too forced and most likely fail. * Who do you see as your major competitors? How does your talent compare to that of your competitors? Stormy Daniels: What's a competitor? If your speaking in terms of creativity or the ability to make a great movie, I don't really think about that stuff. If you're speaking about revenue, the people pirating and file sharing our product are KILLING the industry. * How much of your success do you attribute to sheer luck? Stormy Daniels: I wish I could say none, but I won't lie. There has been a few times that I just happened to be at the right place at the right moment. I would estimate about 20 percent. * What do you consider your greatest life achievement? Stormy Daniels: Being in the adult business for over a decade and still be able to look myself in the mirror. Many girls get caught up in partying and head down the wrong path or allow others to influence them into doing things they are not comfortable with doing. I have always stuck to my guns. Directing my first movie was a huge day for me, too! * Which decision in your life took the most courage? Stormy Daniels: Making the choice to leave everything familiar and move to Los Angeles was pretty scary! I grew up in a small place and LA was a completely different world. * What is the hardest lesson you've had to learn? Stormy Daniels: That sometimes it's just the way that it is... In other words, sometimes life just isn't fair. * How has being in the industry affected your view of men? Stormy Daniels: Surprisingly, it really hasn't. Men are pretty straightforward creatures. What you see is what you get with them. What has changed, is my view of women. Females are evil, scandalous, manipulative creatures. * Do you think pornstars make men feel inadequate about their penis size and volume or the range of their ejaculations? Stormy Daniels: Of course! And super models make chicks feel ugly and fat. It is just the nature of the beast. * Why do so many people deem porn as immoral? Stormy Daniels: We live in a Puritan society. The objective of porn is to cause arousal, and a lot of people are still very uncomfortable with the whole "impure thoughts" notion. * Could you draw the line between porn and art? What do you think about Michelangelo's David? Stormy Daniels: Yes, I can. But honesty, I do not find nudity porn or art. To me, it's nothing more than a naked person. Granted, some are better specimens than others. * Say you have $100,000 to invest: What would you do with it? Stormy Daniels: I would make a horror movie. I guess it's stick with what you know, right? * What is the biggest turn-on and turnoff for you? Stormy Daniels: I hate men who brag about what they have or think they are big players. I could also never be with a guy who needs more time to get ready than I do! Turn ons for me, are men who are comfortable with themselves and have a good sense of humor. Uncomplicated is good. I am difficult enough for both of us. * What is your greatest guilty pleasure? Stormy Daniels: Shoes! I love shoes...sometimes I will just go try on really expensive ones that I could never actually bring myself to buy. * Do you have some sex tips for men and women? Stormy Daniels: For women, I'd say use your hands and not just your mouth during oral...and don't be afraid to let him know what he is doing right. For men, it is all about consistency and SLOW down. Generally speaking, our engines take a bit longer to warm up. * Tell me about a book/movie you loved and what made it stand out so the rest of us can experience it. Stormy Daniels: Wow! I just drew a complete blank. I guess one of my recent favorites is "Pans Labyrinth" because it is just so beautifully shot. * Any current projects you'd like to mention? Stormy Daniels: If you haven't seen "Operation Desert Stormy", you must do so now! You have to love a porn with 10 sex scenes of beautiful women mixed between explosions and action sequences. Oh, and how can you not want to see Ron Jeremy as evil leader Hussein? Besides, you will need to watch this one so you will know what is going on when you watch the even more hilarious sequel coming this spring: "Operation Tropical Stormy"!
