Tera Patrick: Ready to rumble. * What are your fondest memories of growing up? Tera Patrick: My dad's free thinking and unconditional love and support, along with my mom's cooking and my sister's friendship, also of course my teenage modeling career! * How did you choose the nickname Tera Patrick? Tera Patrick: I always loved the word Terra, as in the earth, I am very green... Patrick was my grandma's maiden name. After I had been published in Penthouse and a few other magazines, my friend called me and asked me if I knew that Carmen Elektra's real name was "Tara" Patrick. I did not, but I certainly thought it was cool, I love Carmen! * What does it take to excel in the porn industry? Tera Patrick: Great looks, great attitude, hard work ethic and a great husband who is also your manager. * You run your own production company, Teravision, and have your own line of sexy lingerie, Mistress Couture. * Who are Teravision's core customers that meet your profit targets? Tera Patrick: The world is my customer. Everybody loves good looking porn. And sexy items. Especially the people who make the most noise that they are against adult, they are biggest closet pervs. Porn doesn't hurt anyone. Oir country is embarassing, we are proliferating guns, booze, drugs and cigarettes to our youth along with fast food consisting of tortured animals, yet our government targets porn as a public enemy... It taps into people's shame and fears, get over it. * How do you competitively differentiate your products to deliver value to your end customer? Tera Patrick: In any industry, there is always a call for high quality, since our products are top quality and not overpriced. * Francois de la Rochefoucauld said once: "Sex is the gateway to life". What do you think? Tera Patrick: I disagree. Sex is: life. * What do you know now that you wish you'd known when you first started performing in adult movies? Tera Patrick: Looking back I did follow my instincts and make mostly good choices. I will say to any girl in the business, do not sign anything without an attorney, because there are alot of ruthless people in the business who will exploit you and steal your identity. I had a close call with some horrible people, but in the end, I guess everything happened for a reason. I am so happy now! * Is it possible to be a performer in the adult industry and not somehow be psychologically destroyed as a result? Tera Patrick: I think it is important to know that once you do porn, you can never take it back. I think it is of course possible to be happy as a performer, it just must come from the right place, because you love it, or because you are building a career, not from a place of emptiness or desperation. It is easy to get exploited and end up emotionally bankrupt. I have seen it too many times, I try to educate young girls to treat the business, like a business. * Lately is was announced that you may be the star of Quentin Tarantino's remake of 'Faster, Pussycat, Kill! Kill!'. How were you approached by Quentin and what were your initial reactions? Tera Patrick: I have not even spoken to him yet, he and I are part of a mutual admiration society. I would love the opportunity. Those women in the original movie were so sexy and poerful. I am sure Quentin is the man to remake a modern hot and sexy version of this cult classic. It is truly one of my favorite movies of all time. * How was your transition into mainstream media like? Was it smooth or fraught with tension? Tera Patrick: I have always worked in mainstream. Long before I entered adult. I have been fortunate to be able to exist in both worlds simultaneously. The mainstream exposure has really helped propel my adult popularity. Every time I am on TV, radio or a magazine, my website, www.TeraPatrick.com, just continues to explode. I love to see my hard work pay off. * What do you consider your strengths? Weaknesses? Tera Patrick: I am trusting and honest to a fault, so my strength is my weakness. I want to save the world, and sometimes I am not selfish enough. * How are you so beautiful? Tera Patrick: My mom is Thai and my dad is Dutch and English. I take very good care of myself, eat healthy, exercise and chant. I spend a lot of time outdoors and alot of time with nature. Love is the eternal answer.. * How does your husband Evan sweeten your life? Tera Patrick: He is my pure honey. He takes care of my every need, want and desire, he treats me like the princess that I am and we truly respect each other. We give other the freedom to be ourselves and we accept each other for the individuals that we are and rather than two halves making a whole, we are two wholes building a life force together, we are inseparable. * In your opinion, what physical and psychological factors are related to the occurrence of difficulties in sexual drive and pleasure? Tera Patrick: People can get blocked, either mentally or physically. There is always an answer, our bodies and our minds are one. * What is the future of the porn industry in your opinion? Tera Patrick: Adult rolls pretty quickly with technology. Internet delivery is certainly taking over. I concentrate on the content and promotion and Evan handles all that. People will always want to see beautiful women naked and having sex. Teravision will be bringing that to the world for a long time to come. * What's next for you?
